The European Commission has officially launched the European Energy Storage Inventory, a real-time dashboard for energy storage. The goal is to list all planned and operational energy storage projects in Europe by location and technology.
[pdf] The project name is Energy Storage No.1 Project, located in the Energy Storage Industrial Park, Hetao Street, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China, which is scheduled to start construction by the end of September 2023 and be completed and put into operation by the end of December 2024.
[pdf] OÜ Prategli Invest is building a solar energy storage device in Tallinn, where it will store energy from a solar farm production plant located on the roof of a warehouse complex. The project received a grant of EUR 273,500. Two projects will begin to store both solar and wind energy.
[pdf] The project, which has a targeted capacity of 11 MW, is aimed at cutting reliance on costly thermal generation and securing greater energy independence and resilience. Once operational, it will eliminate 13,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
[pdf] It is scheduled to go live before 2030 and will mainly undertake peak shaving, valley filling, and energy storage tasks for the power grid in East China, the firm added. The power station will include six reversible hydro generators with a capacity of 400,000 kW per unit, GCL Energy noted.
[pdf] MAURITIUS PORTS AUTHORITY has floated a tender for Consultancy Services for Scaling up of Renewable Energy at Port Louis Cruise Terminal with solar PV covered parking. The project location is Mauritius and the tender is closing on 31 Dec 2025.
